The two days of training followed by a day of riding. The training class covers beginner to intermediate levels and is ideal for new off-road riders, experienced street riders transitioning to dirt, or even seasoned dirt bikers looking to improve their skills on heavy adventure bikes in challenging terrain. Using the Dragoo Adventure Rider Training (D.A.R.T.) curriculum, Shal delivers a well-structured program where each step builds on the previous one. Riders will start with the basics, including balance, body position, peg weighting, clutch control, enduro steering, and braking, laying a solid foundation for more advanced techniques. As the class progresses, students will tackle hills, off-camber terrain, hill fail recovery, obstacles, and towing. The exercises are progressive, comprehensive, and designed to provide plenty of practice, helping riders refine their skills and confidently handle difficult off-road conditions.
The best way to retain those skills is by putting them to use right away. Following the training, riders spend a day doing just that. The group will be led by one of GRIT’s guides, leaving Shal available to observe and give feedback to the riders.
